SWAT Nights (Shopping With A Teen)
With money raised through donations, Back-to-School Clothes for Kids has shopping nights for teens at the Galleria in White Plains and the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown. Some of these teens have never had a chance to shop for their own new clothes! The SWAT Nights give teens an opportunity to get exactly what they want- with the right look and the right fit.
Teens arrive with social workers from various local agencies. With a budget (based on available resources) and a volunteer the teens navigate the mall focusing on stores who give Back-to-School Clothes for Kids a discount. New volunteers are coached by trained captains and the process takes about a two-hour commitment.
How can you help? Monetary donations are always welcomed for SWAT Nights. Back-to-School Clothes for Kids is a non-profit corporation exempt from Federal Income tax. Gift cards are also accepted.
